Last weekend, the Buffalo Bills defeated the San Francisco 49ers. The Bills were dominating the field and it is not just because of Josh Allen and his passing rushing and receiving touch in the same game. What was the huge advantage they had over the 49ers? Buffalos thrive in the snow!

And who doesn’t love a snow day? The childhood spirit was ever so present in Monday night’s game, and many agree that an NFL snow game is the best kind of game. Back in November, Jameis Winston expressed nothing but pure joy for the snowfall when the Browns took on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Winston went viral on social media as the winter months approached for his interview at the game. “I’m so happy and grateful that the Lord has blessed me to play in some snow,’ Winstons said with a look of absolute pure joy on his face. The man was genuinely thrilled about a football game in the snow, calling it “true football weather”.

But most teams don’t get snowfall like the Buffalo Bills do in upstate New York. This is because the stadium is located in the Great Lakes region, they experience what is called lake effect snow.  Last year, to prepare for the Bills game against the Steelers, the organization called upon fans, otherwise known as Bills Mafia to grab their shovels and head to the stadium to help shovel out the stands ahead of the rescheduled game.

And they did it again this year with the game against the 49ers, and fans were eager to oblige. It likely won’t be the last time, as snow continues to be expected across the country throughout the season.

What do you think? Did the Buffalo Bills have the upper hand in their snow game against a team based out of San Fransisco? No matter your opinion, there is no denying the fun that is an NFL game in the snow!
