The New York Knicks have been one of the most exciting teams in the NBA, finishing as the second seed in the east. They fell short in the playoffs, losing In seven games to the Indiana Pacers, leaving the organization eager to make a big splash in free agency. New York media’s beloved star Jalen Brunson averaged 32.4 points per game, and 7.5 assists per game, but fans expressed frustration that he needed another great player to compliment him.

The Knicks started their eventful off-season early, trading for Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets. Bridges reunited with his former Villanova teammates, as the media began to call the Knicks “The New York Wildcats”. They ultimately decided to trade for one of the best big men in the league Karl Anthony-Towns, making the Knicks starting lineup a force to be reckoned with going into the season.

Although this trade took the league by storm, it was given mixed reviews, leaving a lot of fans confused. They gave up Donte Divencenzo, Julius Randle and two second-round picks for KAT. On one end the media believes KAT will be the player to put the Knicks in the elite category, but on the other end fans are frustrated with the organization trading fellow Villanova alumni Dante Divencenzo after a career year.

The Knicks have gained some negative attention from these moves, but the organization Is making it clear that they’re hungry for their first championship in over 50 years.
