The third round of the draft had some exciting selections in it. Serena Sundell got selected by Seattle. Kaitlyn Chen, from UConn, got drafted by Golden State. Aubrey Griffen, from UConn, was drafted to Minnesota. Both players had only attended the draft to support their former teammate Bueckers, and weren’t even expecting to get drafted.
There were some players projected to get drafted who weren’t, like Deja Kelly and Diamond Johnson, but for most of them, this isn’t the end of the road. They can still become WNBA players. Some can sign with a team in training camp and still make an opening day roster.
This draft was very exciting and WNBA fans around the country are patiently waiting until Opening Day to see these talented women make their debuts.
