The future of NIL rests in the hands of female athletes. The Florida Panthers have tapped into the power of female influencers when they offered endorsement deals to every female college athlete at Florida Atlantic University. Athletes will receive cash, Panthers tickets and merchandise while promoting the team on their social media accounts and at in person games.
The two athletes who generate the most social media during the season will also receive an impressive bonus (four figure!). At least 100 athletes are expected to take part in the partnership. The partnership is a win-win with the Panther’s increasing their social media reach to a younger audience and FAU female athletes cashing in.
